Sebringville isn’t opposed to growth, though they regret the loss of prime farmland. However, the proposed housing project will more than double the size of the town, adding seven apartment buildings with 24 units each (blocks 99 & 100), townhomes and some single family homes.
There is no development in Perth County with a similar density and size to the one proposed in Sebringville. The proposed development’s scale, involving multiple low-rise apartment buildings and townhomes in a village is unprecedented in the region. It does not align with the current growth management policies outlined in the Perth County Official Plan or the typical development patterns seen in Perth County.
See our Facebook Page for updates, and more detail on the actual plan.
